Description
Anatomy & Physiology Course Overview
This class is approved by the NCAA.
This class is part of the MyFunScience online homeschool science program, which offers live courses for middle and high school students.
This homeschool anatomy and physiology class explores the structure and function of the human body through engaging lessons, experiments, and discussion. Students participate in a live online Anatomy & Physiology class led by an experienced instructor who connects scientific concepts to real-world medical situations.
This high school Anatomy & Physiology course is designed for students in grades 10–12 and can count toward a full high school science credit. Students learn how body systems work together to maintain life and health while developing a deeper understanding of human biology.
Have you ever considered becoming a nurse, doctor, paramedic, or firefighter? Even students who do not plan to enter the medical field can benefit from understanding how the human body works. Learning how our bodies stay healthy, strong, and energized begins with understanding how the many systems of the body function together.
This advanced biology course explores both the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Students will study each major body system and learn how structure and function work together to maintain life and health.
The course also introduces common disease processes affecting each body system. Real-world scenarios, medical research, and the instructor’s professional experiences are used to help students better understand how these systems operate in real-life medical situations.
Students will participate in experiments and dissections throughout the course. Some labs will take place during live class sessions, while others will be completed independently with written lab reports. Memorization activities, team-based learning, and interactive review games help reinforce key concepts.
