Description
French 4 Course Overview
This class is approved by the NCAA.
French 4 is the culmination of the Comprehensible Input journey begun in French 1. At this advanced level, students move toward true language proficiency — thinking, analyzing, and expressing themselves in French with increasing depth and precision.
A central text for the year is Le Petit Prince, which we read carefully and thoughtfully, filtering its themes through the lens of Scripture. This rich literary work allows us to engage complex grammar, nuanced comprehension, and analytical essay writing.
Additional readings, Francophone cultural studies, discussion, and structured speaking activities strengthen fluency and deepen confidence in all areas of language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
