Description
Course Overview
The Advanced Art class is for the more confident and independent drawer.
In this class, we’ll learn more advanced techniques such as sketching, shading, blending, and cross-hatching techniques. Students will create stunning pieces that convey depth, contrast, and texture.
Students in this class will not require the same rigid guidelines used in the Art 1 – Mixed Media class for beginners. Students will explore several different types of media and artistic styles in order to define their personal aesthetic and design their own compositions.
Classes will also include studies in nature, still life, architectural structures, perspective, and proportion. All media will be explored, and lessons are different each semester.
