The Introduction to Veterinary Science class gives students an exciting opportunity to explore careers in veterinary medicine through an engaging online homeschool science course. Designed for middle and high school learners, this introductory veterinary science class provides a strong foundation for students interested in working with animals.
In this course, we will examine the many roles within a veterinary practice, helping students understand how veterinary team members care for both animals and their owners. Students will explore a variety of animal science career paths, including veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and animal caretakers, while learning how each role contributes to patient care.
This small animal veterinary course introduces key topics in animal health and veterinary medicine, including dog and cat communication, basic veterinary procedures, surgery, and diagnostic tools such as X-rays. Through interactive lessons, students gain practical knowledge and insight into the day-to-day work of a veterinary clinic.
