Description
English II: Foundations Course Overview
This class is part of the MyFunScience online homeschool classes, which offer live instruction for middle school and high school students. Families can also explore all of our English and literature courses designed for homeschool students.
This English II course helps students strengthen grammar analysis, literary discussion, vocabulary development, and structured composition while continuing to build strong language arts foundations.
English II: Foundations builds on the grammar and writing skills introduced in English I: Discovery while preparing students for the more advanced expectations of English III: Journeys.
Students deepen their understanding of grammar, poetry, literature, vocabulary, and structured writing through an integrated and systematic approach.
Students who are transitioning from earlier language arts courses such as Upper Elementary Language Arts will find that this course continues building the strong grammar and writing foundation needed for the full high school English sequence.

What Families Are Saying
[My daughter] loved your class. I am especially impressed with the improvements I see in her vocabulary and writing this year because of your class. I love that your vocabulary focused on prefixes, suffixes, and roots. That will help her so much on the SAT.
He was so determined to catch you in a mistake and earn five more points that he was glued to everything you posted — and when he missed the chance, you would have thought his team lost the Super Bowl!
