Description
Anatomy & Physiology Course Overview:
This class is approved by the NCAA.
Have you ever thought of becoming a Nurse, Doctor, firefighter…? Even if you don’t see yourself being in the medical field, you can definitely benefit from understanding our Anatomy & Physiology and how God created us. Understanding what keeps us healthy, strong and full of energy all comes from knowing how the many different parts of our body work together.
This advanced biology course covers both the anatomy and physiology of each system of the body. This class will also be introducing some disease processes that occur in each of these systems, and we will be using experiences as well as medical research when introducing scenarios throughout class.
We will perform experiments and dissections. Some of these experiments we will do during class times, others students will do on their own and write up a lab sheet about the procedure. We will also be doing many memorization games, and students will be working in teams for some assignments.

Reviews
“She really enjoyed your class. Science was her favorite subject this year, and I know she enjoyed learning A and P from you this year and found the stories you shared of your experiences in the field to further her interest in the subject. Thank you!”
“Thank you so much Mrs. Currey! I loved having you as a teacher this year! Your real-life stories were very inspiring to me and your attention to us as students reflected God’s love. Thank you for helping me learn so much this year!”
“Hi! I just wanted to say thanks for a great year of A&P. I really learned a lot, and since I am considering whether or not to go into the medical field, I loved hearing about your own experiences as a paramedic. You also made the class personable, which isn’t always easy when it’s virtual. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that you did a good job, and I hope you have an amazing summer!”
