What Is the North Carolina ESA+ Scholarship?
The North Carolina ESA+ (Education Savings Account Plus) program allows eligible families to use state education funds for personalized learning options beyond traditional public school.
ESA+ is designed for students age 5 and older who are entering the program with a documented Individualized Education Program (IEP) from a North Carolina public school.
The ESA+ award provides $9,000 per year, with additional funding of up to $17,000 annually for students with certain qualifying disabilities.
ESA+ funds may be used for a variety of approved educational expenses, including MyFunScience online classes. This special needs scholarship program expands school choice while providing families with meaningful financial support to meet their child’s unique learning needs.
