Respect

We believe it is paramount that respect be a central tenant of our online class rooms. Our teachers are expected to care for your kids hearts and minds. But from our students, we expect a respectful and kind professional decorum at all times both with the teachers and other students.

Plagiarism

Every academic and professional environment takes issues of cheating and plagiarism very seriously. We expect parents to advocate for this frame of thinking, not just because it is the right and best thing for your student, but it has professional implications in the future.

When testing it is not acceptable to “Google” the test questions. Do not submit another person’s work as your own. Please refer to Plagiarism.org for more information.

If a teacher suspects that cheating or plagiarism has occurred, he or she will notify you and your student and issue a grade of zero on that assignment, assessment, or discussion.

Each teacher has autonomy to grade a ZERO if they feel it is necessary. If cheating, or plagiarism occurs, again, action will be taken which could include dismissal from the course.

Openness and Inclusion

It is important for you to understand that we welcome our teachers to open classes in prayer and many of them do. (See our statement of Faith on the About Us page). However, we accept and expect that many students will come from a variety of differing religious, cultural, and educational backgrounds. Our policy is simple and two-fold. There is mutual respect at all times.

Creation vs Evolution

At MyFunScience.com, we believe in teaching from a Christ-centered world view. Our science teachers teach and believe in Creation by God’s sovereign hand, and yet, will welcome any discussion or discourse at the appropriate times with other opinions and will not deter from the policy of respect. This is vital to a constructive class environment, but it is important for you as a parent to know where we stand on this topic.

Refund Policy

Refunds are offered until 90 days prior to the class start dates and includes a flat fee of $50. Within 90 days, our policy is to refund 50% of the course price paid until the class start date. After the class start date there are no refunds offered. An exceptional personal circumstance may be considered and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Class Exchanges

You may contact us for exchanging one enrolled class for another for a $50 change fee. Exchanges are subject to availability.

Course Minimums

We must reserve the right to cancel and refund a course if the class minimums are not met. In this case you will receive a 100% refund and will be notified as soon as possible to make other arrangements. While we do not expect this to be the norm, a 100% refund will be applied to your account or you will be able to exchange a course for no additional charge
